Color runs are a relatively new kind of race but they have affected the running scene drastically. You can find all kinds of pictures from these races where everyone looks like they are having a blast. So, if your New Year’s resolution is to get out there to run a race and you live near San Luis Obispo, CA, I have the perfect Color Run for you…the SLO Color Blast Fun Run. The run is scheduled for Saturday, January 24th at SLO High School, and is a great local event that has gained popularity very quickly – so be sure to register now! It’s a great way to support the community, have some fun, and get great deals on near gear!
If you aren’t too familiar with color runs, you can plan to receive a white shirt before the race before getting blasted with different colored powders throughout the entire 5K course (don’t worry, the powders are made of food coloring and corn starch so they are completely safe). What’s not to like about this event, right? On top of everything, this race is for a beautiful cause, supporting the Alex Maier Memorial Fund & Scholarship.
This year, GH Sports is lucky enough to host the packet pick-up at our retail store in San Luis Obispo. Packet pick-up will be on Thursday and Friday, January 22nd and 23rd, from 3:00PM to 7:00PM. There will be special sales exclusively for all race participants so make sure not to miss out!
