In 1990 Lynn Hill was recognized as the top female climber in the world and she solidified that position with an overall first place finish on the World Cup Circuit, and numerous ascents of the most dangerous routes in the world.
In HIND’s Spring 1992 Workbook, Lynn shared: “I’ve always thought playing in the streets and climbing trees was fun. I discovered for myself that I felt good doing it. Society’s contrived image of what a woman should or shouldn’t be is something I’ve never agreed with.”
