We were honored to spend this past Sunday near the finish line of the 2014 35th Annual SLO Triathlon, and are extremely proud to mark this as our 35th year as a sponsor. Just like every year, we are so happy to have been a part of this celebration; the participants, the vendors, and all the volunteers brought their own level of dedication, energy, spirit, and stories to share.
Father and daughter celebrated their finish with big smiles.
Our loyal customer was happy to finish strong wearing GH apparel.
A hot day, this competitor gave a thumbs up before hydrating post-race with Hammer Heed.
What a family! This daughter (in middle) drove up from Long Beach to surprise dad on the morning of his birthday. Her gift to him? Competing in a triathlon together; something he has always asked for!
The Scott Family drove from Bakersfield for the weekend and visited son Jake who worked the GH Booth. Thanks for stopping by!!
The Famous Team Rhinos (see the rhino hat at left!) allowed our staff (from right: Jake, Garrett, Jami) to pose for a picture.
These two brothers may have their own favorite colors. Would you say so?!
The “Human Highlighter” at our neighboring booth, Central Coast Hospice & Central Coast Home Health Care, beat the heat with his shade tent and a little help from the GH Water Bottle. Always so supportive of GH, the highlighter’s headband, shorts, and shoes are all from our retail store.
Lots of great folks stopped by to play, save, fuel, and enter – or just to say “hi” and that was great too!
When we said play, these kids from team SLO & Steady came running. We’re so glad they did; we had fun playing too!
Jake distributed their prizes. There were some requests to exchange water bottles for our GH Sunglasses and of course we said yes – how could we not?!
The GH Sunglasses were popular; this family of 4 won 3 pair!
Many entered our raffle.
There were free CLIF Bars & GU Chomps samples for everyone!
Worth sharing – Race SLO has 3 important events coming up.
Congratulations to all of the participants for completing the race! And thank you to Rich Ogden and the City of San Luis Obispo for making the SLO Triathlon happen for 35 successful years; we are looking forward to 36.
